My first attempt at bird photography in my garden. It can prove difficult when you have two dogs that seem to chase everything out of the garden :-)

Nice pose of this good-looking bird. Beautiful background. The bird looks a bit soft on my screen and can benefit from some sharpening.

Welcome to NPN Tony, Great eye contact and sharp on the head. Great background. Since this is in your garden I would put up some smaller, more attractive perches for the birds to land on, rather than this cut off stump. Compositionally, since this bird is looking back to the left I would try to compose it with more space on the left and less on the right. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work and comments.
