Chelone glabra, Kent County, Michigan. K5 IIs 300 mm f4 + 35mm extension (1/50 sec at f6.3, ISO 800). Levels, color balance, Topaz In Focus, Topaz Detail, Neat Image for noise reduction, 16 image Stack Pmax. I could use some help getting the shading fixed on this image. I took the photo during a rain shower and it was dark and the lighting was very blue....................Jim

Jim - Very nice composition using a pivot point to radiate the blooms/buds. I think these come in Pinks as well. We have these blooming at the local gardens.

A very interesting flower Jim. My wife saw it and said, "Whoa! That is a cool photo!" Nice point of focus, and nice work on the whites. The BG is nice too. I would clean up the spots in imperfections on the bloom.

Thanks for the comments. Albert, how would you have made this shot? I was looking at this and wished that I put my 180mm and shot the inside of the flower that's facing out. Nathan, I can clean up those little fungal spots. I remember removing several. Ram, the pink variety is a different species and very rare in Michigan. I do believe that there are some garden varieties that are light pink in color..........................Jim
