This has some gorgeous morning light here. Color and temperature contrast between the FG hills and the open desert area is interesting. I might try it with a bit of the cyan turned down in the BG. Just a thought on that idea no nit at all.
With this angle of view it's a bit deceiving in trying to judge how tall the hills are, any idea? A Google look shows this in Winslow or near there I see. AZ has stunning desert colors and formations, this one sure shows it off very nicely.

Doug, this is great with the warm light setting off the curved ridge of that hill so well. The color contrast also add a lot. I could see a slight crop off the top to lose the distant hills, but I also like the space that you've got up there in this view. Well seen.

Doug, this is so harmonious with the warmth created by the sun on the gently rolling hills in the foreground being offset by the cooler, more linear background.

Gorgeous, Doug. I especially like the contrasts of color and the vertical lines in the hills and horizontal lines in the background. I also like it as an abstract without the background-- results in more of a panoramic format, though, with loss of the hill's tops... But there's the lovely complementary blue-orange in it with the curve created by shadow/light taking on special interest. Just a thought…
