I found this Agave in a garden in Columbia this morning. I really liked the patterns and textures of the leaves in the soft light.

Please see the large version. Thanks!

I think I've photographed at least a hundred of these Preston and never got one I liked this well. Superb comp and detail. I always focus stacked on these and I'm surprised to see the dof/detail you got in a single image. Beautiful work.

As an alternative image, I think you could also crop from the top to 5:4 but as an alternative, not an improvement.

Love agaves. Lots of them around my new home. Don't you just love the way the spines leave the their impressions on the surrounding leafs. The color and contrast in this feels very true.

Preston, the details and the sharpness make this a ton of fun to explore. Composing repeated scenes like this is very challenging and you've nailed this one.

Superb detail and subtle color Preston. I also like the contrast of the dark thorns against the soft pastel leaves.
