An African Fish Eagle going in for a catch in the Chobe National Park in Botswana. This is probably one of the best places in Africa to photograph these birds in action.

One of the best flight shot of this species that I've seen. Well done.

Great action capture Mario ! Nice details and I like the warm lighting. For me, I'd show more bird's reflection on the water or I'd entirely clone out the partial reflection on the bottom. It is still an excellent image as it is. :toast:

Awesome action shot Mario  Very nice light and wonderful details.

Those talons are the kicker for me.

Mario.
Well you certainly had great light for this, and being in Chobe the shot was obviously not set up by baiting.
I think I would get rid of the partial reflection. :toast: :toast:

Thanks for all the comments ! I agree with regards to the partial reflection . . . should be cloned out

Wonderful flight image, Mario. The extended talons are a real bonus. Composition is perfect.

I really like the angle which you captured this at Mario. Techs are great, love the open claws and the still water makes for anticipation.

Fine image and pose! The lighting is also very good. I find the hints of reflection appealing. :toast:
