D800 18-200mm @ 170mm ISO 50 F16 1/20th Tripod

Taken this morning at sunrise atop Steptoe Butte. This is my first time in the Palouse , and even though this is not the prime time to probably be here, I am blown away by this spot !

The swales and curves are shown off so well by the light, Bob. The fence line down the middle has me thinking diptych. The trees at the top are a nice touch and anchor this firmly in reality. Cropping those would create an fine near abstract and a very different image.

I agree I would crop this to make it even more abstract. Wonderful tones and colors.

Lovely light and you've chosen a very effective abstract composition.
