Dahlia 9

Hi all.

I will keep the dahlia shots going a bit longer. My wife is an attorney, and is preparing for trial, so I have had plenty of time at night staying up with her while she prepares.

This was a bloom that I shot down at the Thanksgiving point gardens a couple of weeks ago.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Another strong dahlia, Nathan. Striking variety. The classic comp works for me.

Being a trial atty myself, I know what your wife is going through. Preparation and hard work is the key to courtroom success. Good luck to her.

Good full focus shot. I can't see a crop for the little bit of soft focus. Fine as is!

I like the somewhat high key effect of this very much, Nathan. The angled composition also works well - this has a very dynamic feel, amplified by the vibrant colouring.

Another beautiful dahlia, Nathan, with a personal look. The bright light and low contrast create very nice pastel color.
