Swathiraj - Another nice one. Good lighting.

If this is a commercial variety you bought, pushing that petal currently pointing down up is something you might want to do. Basically a little gardening to heighten the aesthetic impact. Also some weak lighting for the stem which is very very faintly visible now might also be considered.

I agree with Ram about killing that lower petal. I do like the light. I also wish for a little light on the stem and a bit more sharpness in the petals.

Nice to see another dahlia, Swathiraj. The dark bg works well for this variety, and I like the full dof. Like Ram, I wouldn't mind a little more light on the stem/sepals. There are also a couple tiny dots right in the middle and a dust spot at 9:00 which I personally would erase, but this is because I prefer more pristine flowers (versus realism). Well done.

I'm with Scott on the pristine flower preference. But, you have made a nice image of the available flower. Well controlled exposure and great detail. Well done Swathiraj!

Very nice image, Swathiraj. The lighting is excellent. Nits already noted - , if possible, I feel having a backlit stem may enhance this.

Hi swarthiraj :wavey: YOU chose a beautiful subject. along with very nice soft light... the dark BG works well against the white dahlia.
