The Cottonwoods and Aspens in the northern sections of Yellowstone are at or near peak colors. Here's a view of the Cottonwoods along Soda Butte Creek in Yellowstone's northeast corner. (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 42mm, 1/100s, f/13, iso 200, tripod)

Beautiful, I like the different levels of light, the contrasting colours between FG and mid background and the sun in the tree as a bonus. Bravo! I like it a lot.

Very appealing scene Mark, very nice color and light, and I definitely like the sun star peeking through the trees. Not much color in my area yet, very soon I'm thinking. Beautiful work.

Beautiful scene and image Mark. I particularly like the sunburst and the complementary blues and yellows. All the elements come together harmoniously in the composition though. Very fine work. No suggestions.

Stop teasing me, Mark. We're sooo ready for cooler Autumn weather and color here in CA.

I like the composition and the color. Given the back light, you might consider reducing the contrast in the ground cover and lightening the yellows just a bit for more glow. Also, there's a halo on the ridge line from the stand of trees to the right edge. Nice image!

This composition works very nicely for me, Mark. I thought after seeing the thumbnail the tree on the left might be a bit odd, but not the case at all, seems perfect there. Nice work on this seasonal start.

This has a nice unique feel to it. My only thought is maybe to crop some of the blue out of the upper sky to the cloud fills the sky better.

I like the comp with the the tree left, the small sunstar's a nice accent to this beautiful scene.
The FG/BG contrast really sets it off, great fall colors. Well done! :toast:
