Jim, hard to mistake the look of that mountaintop if you've ever been to ZNP. I would say besides Joshua Tree NP that ZNP would be my most visited park over the years. Truly a favorite of mine for these formidable large canyon structures. A neat vertical take from this POV, very well done...!!!..

Very pleasing comp, Jim, and good choice of the small aperture to get all in focus. The FG patterns in the slickrock are quite pleasing.

The red & blue combo sure does grab the eyeballs, Jim, with the bright top adding a fine touch. The details in the lower half balance well with the temple. Well seen and presented. BTW, if you live in a townhouse in Fairfax (or did I misinterpret your comment), how come all your images are from the desert southwest?

Thanks, Mark. I'm a photographer for only 3 weeks a year when I'm in Zion. The other 49 weeks I'm forced to be in Virginia for work.

The clear blue sky works very well here with the contrasting orange tower. Zion is not too far from home here in Flagstaff, but I have not been there. I like the upward view you took and wonder if a little perspective control to pull the top closer might work.
