This will be the last Giant Swallowtail post for at least a month, promise. I guess you can get too much of a good thing:rolleyes:
Here the two 'hovering' males are 'shadowing' the stationary female, each one hoping they're the lucky one:wink:

Another very finely detailed scene here, Howard. Not any easy task by any stretch trying to get one subject like this, never mind three subjects in a stop action shot. Very nicely done.

Another terrific butterfly photo, Howard. Interesting behavior that was very well captured. Like every other BF image you've posted, I wish it were mine. Keep 'em coming, if you have any more. :toast:

Another great multiple BF image Howard, you have gotten me inspired.
My first thought upon seeing this one was perhaps a vertical crop would suit the scene better but I'm not sure that losing any of that beautiful back ground would be worth it.
Well done . . . :toast:

Yea, but who took the wings off the female? With her wings help upright like this, it looks like she's wingless. This has great sharpness in all three dfs, plus a nicely oof background. Very well captured!

Well sir, I believe you are the lucky one. Or more precisely, we are the lucky ones who get to view this wonderful work. Very nice Howard. Love it.
