Favourite water lily

This is my favourite lily capture. the deep color tones captivate me, i hope that they captivate you too. this was taken in my large natural pond, with a lot of insect life on the petals and blooms. i tried to make the lily look pristine. by removing the insect life. in the public ponds, that are full of chemicals. this is not a problem . but my ponds are 100% chemical free. and have a lot of insect life.. comments appreciated. please see large version..

nikon D610. f/16. 1/60 sec. iso 500. circular polarizer filter... difuser.. tripod in one foot of water. cable release. rubber boots on.

The dark tones work pretty well for me, Albert. The center either has lots of pollen in it, or it is a tad over sharpened. I do like the shot a lot and you have done a good job of cleaning up the blooms.

I agree about the deep colors of this water lily. They are beautiful. Excellent detail in the large version. A very nice capture of this beautiful water lily!
