I was going through some old 8x10 transparencies and realized this one was a keeper. It's funny how you don't notice these things the first time around, when you're going for a certain feel, and an image isn't what you were going after. Always go back years later, and have another look.

Michael,

For my tastes this is gorgeous. I love the copper and orange veins running through it as well as the mood.

Beautiful serene image where only the coppery red colour shouts maybe a fraction too loudly for attention.

Beautiful silvers and coppers in this Michael and a beautiful reflection. A very serene mood and abstract feel to this. Well done.

For me, the green vegetation poking above the water line add a nice accent to the rest of the scene. Very eye catching image Michael!

I really like the comp and light. It just feels a bit dark. My thought would be to dodge brighter some of the highlights.

Michael, I often feel that sometimes we overload our creative sensibility. Too much shooting and processing can often lead to choices we later look back and say what was I thinking or boy did I miss a keeper there...Nice find in the old discard pile for sure! :toast:

This is really a nice archival find, Michael. I think it would really work for Halloween, with the orange and black and the somewhat spooky Cypress swamp. Very nice. :toast:

Very nice, Michael. This held up well considering the 60 second exposure. I agree with Tony's comment about bringing up the highlights. The composition is excellent, and I love the mood.

This is neat, I'm fascinated with how an image that seems so stark can also be so inviting. The contrast between the leaves and all of the Spanish moss works very well.

A wonderful scene packed with nice details and colour. Contrast seems a bit over the top for my tastes.

What an excellent, mysterious photograph. The color contrast between the orange and blue-green of the hanging moss really sets a unique mood. This image has A LOT going on, and often this ends up as a maze of distractions, but here it works very well. Glad you found and shared this - beautiful!
