Hanging Out In the Pond

Hi everyone! My dad, brother, and I had a competition on who could come back with the best image after an hour on our property. The judges were my sisters and my mom, and luckily they chose an image I captured of this young female Common Goldeneye as the winner. So, needless to say, this was photographed right beside our property (not Waterton this time  ). I had gone down to photograph the ospreys, but they didn't offer me anything. I saw that there were some ducks in the pond beside the osprey nest, so I focused my attention there. I spotted this beauty swimming around and every once in a while diving underwater for food.

Thanks for lookin'! :wavey:

Very nice capture here. It has a classic painterly feel. Sorry, can't help with the ID.

Hi Jenaya: A very pleasing image. I like your composition and choice of a pano crop. Works well. Also the nice low angle accentuates the image. Nicely captured.
