Model A in Fog

I would like to have posted this in the Weekly Challenge where the theme this week is fog, but it's definitely not a nature photo. It's more representative, though, of the kind of photographs I'm making these days. My photography has evolved, morphed, drifted. I hardly even think of myself as a nature photographer anymore - I do urban scenes as much as anything else. I think this might be my first NPN gallery post of 2014.

Well composed. Reminds me of film noir. I would be so tempted to clone out the later model car!

Very crisp, clean b/w presentation Buck. Ya know a good photograph nature or not is a pleasure to view. Very nice. :toast:

Buck,
Sure glad to have you back posting again and with such a cool and moody image of, I would guess, somewhere in Key West and very, very early in the morning. My interpretation of the WC is that it's game on if the image fits the theme and this image fits the theme and then some. Cheer up, as Gary says, good is good.
 Man !
P.S. How is Ellie doing with her Photog Career ?

Wonderful moody image Buck, I can imagine seeing Bogart emerging from the mist, lighting a cigarette. I feel the same as you in regards to nature photography. Although still drawn to it, I'm finding urban subjects or anything that contains a human element more and more compelling.

Thanks all.

This was very early in the morning, Mike, but in Fort Myers. Ellie is almost 12 and her interests have moved on to more important things.

Hi Buck, this is lovely with the softly vanishing lighting and that great old car sitting so smartly on the left. The combo of car, palms, and foggy lighting sure do give this a last century feeling. I think it would have fit in the weekly challenge, the criterion (unless specified in the challenge) is could it be posted an any NPN gallery.

Oh, I know I could have posted this in WC, Mark, but this way I could post two fog pictures, one all nature and one not. I've got several pretty good fog pictures, but it wasn't until after I posted this one here, that I realized that I had scant fog pictures that didn't show the hand of man - and I kind had challenged myself.

Great mood and wonderful tones. It wouldn't be easy, but you could clone out the modern vehicle. Also, you could clone the parking spot marker just right of the old car.

Nicely done, and welcome back, Buck.

Congrats on the WP here, Buck. This scene gives me the feeling of something like out of the movie Key Largo. Wonderful timing here.

I love the mood that the fog gives this image and with that car sitting in the foreground, I can imagine that this is another era. Well done and congratulations on the award!!!! :toast:

I just love this - reminds me of a foggy street we walked down in Key West a couple years ago.
Curious as to where was this taken?
Congrats on the HM win - a lovely image.
