Mom and Twins

Another photo from my outing yesterday. Nice look at a doe and her 2 fawns. One acting shy. There was another doe with them which may have been this doe's daughter from a previous year based on the mutual grooming I observed. This is full frame and a bit tight on the left. I warmed this slightly, added contrast, reduced highlights and whites. Mostly minor things to make for a better looking image. Comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

A very cute family Peter, it looks like a tough lighting situation. For me the deer are too dark and if you could selectively lighten them that would improve this a lot. :toast:

Peter, a nice family group. I like it, you have them all looking at you. I do agree with Nate about the deer needing to be just a bit brighter. Good catch of the fawn looking around the doe. Thanks for sharing.

I like the soft, uniform color grasses they are standing in and the alert poses, not totally aimed at the photographer. I think you can brighten the deer (selectively) a bit to make this a bit better. The depth of field leaves the doe a touch soft and you had enough room to tighten that down a notch given you used 1/2500. Biggest nits to my eye would be the upright stick/post coming almost out of the mom's hind quarters and the fact the that other fawn is not well represented with this kind of overlap. I like that you caught them in a cleaner environment than we are usually seeing from this location.
