This is VERY nice; I like the layers of hills into the distance and the reflection of the Sun in the river.

Pretty unique for an elephant landscape! Very nice composition, Jagdeep.

A very fine exposure, Jagdeep. The silhouette works really well. Two colors (or one with a lack of color) are quite effective. One thing I like is that the sky, mountain, and river make the elephant look quite small. How unusual.

Okay Jagdeep...I have just one word for you on this one....stunning!
Now that I got out one word...how can I leave it at just that? I don't think things could be any better in this image. The sun is just setting but is still mostly visible, the elephant has the creek as the BG behind it so the silhouette stands out perfectly, the ratio of the layers form FG, to river to mountains to sky is perfect. On of your best images in my opinion. Really great work and I bet this would be a top seller.

I like the light, composition, and the elephant adds a nice point of interest to the image.

Really super composition, and unusual as well! Love the drama. Only suggestion is an easy tweak of CC rotation to level the water...

Hey Jagdeep,
When I see an image like this and it has only eight comments on it (before this one) it makes me think how darn high the bar has got in wildlife photography (and on NPN). This one is a real classic - great light, great colour, great contrast, super strong composition, and more. Just plain nice to rest one's eyes on. I instantly noticed the off-level water (and foreground) lines - super easy fix for that - and Photoshop told me it need a CCW rotation of 0.53˚. Normally being off-level to this degree would be virtually unnoticeable, but the beautiful image-spanning band of water makes it stand out quite a bit.
Super well done - thanks for sharing this one!

Thanks a lot for such a warm response!
This was taken, while on an assignment for Sony and this location always has plenty of photographers, at times, more than 100. So I forced myself to think hard n came up with this composition.
I'm very pleased that it has been well received.

Well, I've been admiring this for the whole week hoping I would come up with the right response, or a way of expressing adequately my appreciation of this image, Jagdeep. I'm not any further toward that goal now than I was when it first popped up on my screen. It's simply a fantastic, evocative image. Outstanding work on all fronts.
