This is my daughter and grandson at the beach in Pensacola. How do you like the vintage treatment?

This does have an authentic quality. I might have put the people more to the right of center than left since they are facing left.

Here's one that's a little softer and is cropped on the right a bit. How do you like this one?

Yes, I think I'd rather have them centered.

Hi,
The center crop looks good. The vintage treatment works very well....................Jim

Hi Lucy, I also prefer the second version. The vintage treatment works well, regardless of which crop - it adds to the sense of intimacy, which is really strong in this image. Great moment to capture - right when your grandson is holding on to his mom!

Great comp Lucy and I like the B&W conversion except the bright vignetting, it kind of distracting to me. I think I would also crop off from the right to just behind her feet to better frame the subject.

Didn't see 2nd version until after I posted. Like the crop version better and might even crop more off right. Still not a fan of the vignetting. Great portrait of your family, it'll make a fine print!
