I apologize for not being around much lately but life sometimes gets in the way. This is a re-edit of one I made a mess of a couple of years ago. A pretty classic ocean scene but I liked the warm light flooding the scene as it broke the horizon.

Nikon D7000
Sigma 10-20
1.0 sec. @F22
ISO 100
16mm
CPL partial
All C&C greatly appreciated.

I'm liking this a lot. Lots of rock detail and perfect shutter speed on the surf for me. The sky may be a bit yellowish in spite of it being morning?

I dig it. Excellent detail and exposure. Something seems off with the sky color.

Great light and fine textures Bill. I like the composition too. The blue in the sky looks a little dark to me and maybe slightly off hue. Gorgeous otherwise.

Thanks guys, the light is being filtered by offshore fog as seen in the lower right of the picture. It was very gold/yellow in the scene.
See what others have to say.

Gorgeous light and details in this ocean scene, Bill. The clouds are a real plus and compliment the ocean waves rather nicely. The all ready mentioned sky does look off just a touch. Maybe cut back on the cyan just a bit. This is definitely worth fine tuning.

Excellent seascape Bill! The first version looks fine by me. The second version is okay, but loses a little punch maybe. Either way, great image!

Thanks guys. Between cataracts forming and tinted bifocals I don't see so good. Here's a repost. Any better.

Beautiful, I like the texture of those rocks, the lights on the rocks and the FG. I like both pictures but in the repost the sky shows a nicer blue.
Wonderful picture.

Beautiful image, Bill... Very nicely composed, nice action in sky and water and textures add also. I prefer the repost but think they are both nice. Chet

Very nice, Bill. I like the original, but the repost looks even better. The composition is strong. I like the warm light on the rocks and the shutter speed was perfect for the surf.

The repost works very nicely for me, Bill. I really like the roughness or ruggedness of the entire coast here. Obviously a place I would not want to try and land a boat.
I might add a slight bit of punch to the second version, color looks good, but it might need just a tad bit of pop to it. Otherwise, the capture is stunning overall.

Looks wonderfully inviting, Bill. The details in the rocks are amazing and the light gently soft and inviting. Both versions look good to me with a slight preference for the original post. The overall feeling of darkness in this image reminds me of the Hudson River School nature paintings from the 19th century.
