Is it a "V" or a "Y"

So, at first I figured this was clearly a "V", but....

When I was processing it... figured you could also consider the fence post in with the bird as a main subject, in which case, it might also be the letter "Y".

Well, whether a V or a Y this is a fantastic image either way! I never get my avian subjects to cooperate like this and launch TOWARD the lens! This is wicked cool in my books, and a beautiful, stylized V...or Y. Seriously...very striking image.

I really like the dynamic frontal POV, nice point of focus at the birds head too.
Great take-off shot Karen, I'd go with V for VERY well done  :toast:

Either way it's a terrific entry and a fine shot.

Yeah, I don't know whether to call this a "V" of a "Y", , the good new is it doesn't matter. This is a fine catch with the bird taking off. I especially like the clear look at its feet.

That's a great capture, Karen! Either the V or Y works, they are both present. Great timing to catch the bird just lifting off.
