Northern Flicker

From last winter at a local pond. Shot from a blind, there was a hill just outside, accounting for the low angle. The pond is in the background.

Nice one, Jim. Quite an unusual angle/pose for a flicker, and a great head turn. Excellent detail and dof.

What sets this apart from your normal flicker image is the low POV, Very nice!

Excellent perspective and an engaging pose Jim. I might be tempted to bring out the blacks, particularly on the breast.

Nice shot Jim. I also thought flash may have been used. The low POV really makes this for me. Details look good.
