I'll be back in Etosha in week or so, so here is a nice young male we found on the road to Okandeka with his siblings (nobody else was there )Taken some time ago in 2008.

A really pleasing color combination with that touch of blue sky. It's nice to see a pose that's a bit more dynamic from what seems to be a lethargic subject much of the time. I do think a slight crop from the bottom is appropriate, but otherwise it looks good to me.

I think this works really nice and I echo Max's comment with regards to having captured and unusual pose. The but sky adds to it. If anything I would crop to go a bit tighter on this good looking lion.

Good job with this one. As mentioned, most male lion pictures depict them as just laying around, while this one at least proves they are able to get up and move around, and show some animation. Nice exposure and composition.

Thanks everybody, I much prefer to get animals doing something, sleeping Lions are all to common, so much so that we substitute the word PRIDE for LOUNGE

Nice, active pose, as if he is playing with his siblings, and about to pounce on one! I hope you get to see him in his full adult avatar when you visit Etosha. He should be about 10-12 years old now.

Like the raised tail and head turn back to the viewer in this one Ken.
