Just came back from a short photo trip in Utah, after a work visit there. This Snowy Egret I found standing in a pond with some nice morning light reflecting in the waters..
More dawn-shots in my most recent blog: www.hansoverduin.nl/blog/

Thanks for viewing, cheers, Hans

Colors really grab your eye, very nice catch. If you have the room, would consider rotating the image a bit clockwise.

Thanks for your reactions and comments !
@Bob: why would I do that ? According to the grid lines in my photo editor the image is perfectly lined (judging on the mirror in the water) Maybe the direction of the water ripples make for a optical illusion ? Thanks for your remark though, since it made me double check again !

Beautiful and peaceful image, Hans. I know you don't normally do much cloning, but in this case I'd be tempted to remove the pebbles or whatever they are behind the Egret. They seem to detract from the purity of this image.

Hi Hans, beautiful color in the water and the ripples look great. I have to agree with Dennis regarding the 2 objects behind the egret. They do draw your eyes to them. Really fine image though.

Oh my word, Hans! You just keep laying it down. Stunning frame. Just beautiful. While not your normal ULTRA-low angle perspective, I`m pretty sure this is just the right angle to create the effect you have with the colours and ripples. I love the egret`s breast feathers trailing in the water. To say it`s a very pleasing frame is an understatement by a long shot.
