The rudbeckias seem a little late this year - these are among the first here. This was shot through some verbena for the cram on the leaves. The high ISO is because I was mostly shooting butterflies on a somewhat cloudy day.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 161mm, 1/200 sec @ f9, ISO 1000

Ian: I think this is just superb. I wondered about the purple and did not expect a cram. Marvelously crafted image.>=))>

Ian - In my considered opinion, Blue-Yellow combination is excellent when it comes to complementary colors. At least I love it the most.

I really like this frame. Excellent Cram that is not impinging on the main subject and creatively putting the leaves into the composition without making it compete with the main subject !

Ian:

A very artistic composition. Really like the ethereal look of the supporting leaves on the left. :toast:

WOW, I thought this was "photo art" when I first saw it. Fantastic in every way.

An intriguing and unique use of "cram", Ian. The composition is radical, for sure, but it works for me! :toast:
