How else could it be but Pelican's rule this day?

I remembered this image taken long ago and reprocessed today with 2014 CC; the format was changed to 1:1.

This image was taken in Marina del Rey with a 500mm lens f/4 and a long-ago camera-a D200. The image was taken at 1000th of a second, ISO 100, Aperture priority, and spot metering.

Most likely used a tripod but don't really remember.

C&C welcome.

Best wishes,

Carol

We got a pelican thing going on. I bet some folks do a double check to make sure the weekly challenge wasn't "Pelican" Eyes.

Interesting blue tint to this one's eye.

I sure do like the arch of the head and neck as well as the tight view. The subtle color details are great as well. The larger version shows nicely how well you've handled the whites.

Very nice indeed Carol, love the pose, and you exposed the whites beautifully. Well done.
