Nice alert capture. I like the color and the detail in this image. The large image is very nice, feels like the waterbuck is looking right at you. Thanks for sharing.

Waterbuck are pretty handsome with all that shaggy fur. Nice to get one against such a nice green background. It really complements the subject well. Composition-wise, I'd be tempted to either go vertical, or even square (with the antelope centered) or move this guy left a bit in the horizontal frame. With such a solid, clean portrait it's nice that you've got options.

Handsome fellow indeed, Ken. You really nailed the square-on pose and eye contact. Love the tufted fur in the ears.

Very fuzzy in a good way! This image is sharp and the soft highlights in the eyes are perfect. I like the composition as is .......................Jim

This is a cool animal and a great picture! I love the sharpness and details of his fur. His ears are crazy furry!
I really like how he is looking right at you. He looks more interested in you than scared of you. The background is really nice, too.

Hi Ken! I really like this. While the techs are all great (as expected), it's definitely the quality of the interest expressed in his face that I like the best. It does come across in a way that makes him look quite intelligent as well. Like Josiah, the ears totally grabbed my attention because of the amazing detail of the fur going every which way, and the dark points adding wonderful contrast.
Nicely framed, outstanding detail, great light, perfect DOF...awesome.

I am with Max, wishing for more space top. The dreamy background and rich but soft colors make this an excellent capture.

You can't ask for better fur detail and sharpness, and for a better bg to set this off so nicely!
