Here's one more buck species from our Africa trip last summer. This was taken from a boat on the Chobe River in Botswana. The setting is one of the many large islands in the river.

Hello Nate
I enjoy the Natural , Relaxed look of this guy. The flying bugs about his head add to the flavor of a Natural Setting.
WOW, some curved set of Antlers there, well defined and very interesting !

Nate,
Great pose from this great antelope, nice to see you have left the "pesky" grass in

Hi Nate! BEAUTIFUL!! Stunning subject with great low angle, comp, light and eye contact. The techs and detail are fabulous as well (of course) but in the end it's the head turn and wonderful eye that bumps it up even further. I can't help but feeling I'd be happier without that single blade of grass coming up across the Lechwe's muzzle, but like you, I always have a hard time making the decision to clone such "distractions" out of a moment of natural history. Sometimes the temptation for "improvement" gets the better of me, but in this case I think I'd leave it as you did here.
