I have seen a few of these but they are mostly hidden in normal Coucal fashion.
This one was in the open, but not in good light.

Always nice to get a coucal out in the open like this Ken, like you said not the best light but a good shot of this species

Yeah light was tough, but you really did a good job on the shadows Ken. I like the thorny perch.
