Sand Squiggles

I really liked the patterns and the bright margins edging each of the 'squiggles' in the sand on the shore of Tenaya Creek in Yosemite Valley.

This is the color image.

This is very cool, Preston. I could see maybe a crop from the top to lessen the dark area top right. However, I'm not sure it would do any thing to improve this, cause, it is really good. :toast:

We've all seen subjects such as this without thinking too much about trying to work out a constructive scene from the conglomerate. It's not until an abstract like this is posted that we really see the merit in such a view. Well done on the abstract scale, Preston.....

Really really nice Preston, love the patterns and swirls, so much to view in such a small scene. Beautifully seen and presented.

Cool! It's making me hungry, for some reason...looks like chocolate. I might PS a slice of bacon in the middle there, for variety.

Love images like these, and you did a great job with this, Preston. Could easily be an abstract of birds in flight. You could give my friend David Chauvin a run for his money with images like this. Good choice of aperture to get focus on the whole field of view. Excellent work!

Yep, this is great, wonderful set of patterns and tones. I'm sure mother nature's handwriting teacher is appalled.

Very nice, I love this kind of subjects. What about darkening the shadows a bit more, to give even more punch to the bright edges? Wonderful abstact :toast:

The bright edges are wonderful Preston. I like the shapes and "squiggles" and the hint of color in the sand. Excellent abstract.

Immediately made me think of one of Escher's birds drawings. Needless to say, I like it a lot.
