Handsome Heron

I managed several shots of this Tricolored Heron from several points of view and liked this higher angle best because the black river water had the better reflection of the blue sky which seem to separate the subject and blend with the vegetation best. Hand held from boat, 55% of full frame.

Mike: Pretty nice image of the Tricolored. The colors look pretty over saturated to me. Were they pushed in post?

Keith,
I am trying to get a handle on a new computer system (replacing my old XP), is this look better on your monitor?

Good shot of a sometimes-skittish species. I agree with Keith on the saturation. Still a little strong-looking in the re-post.

Mike: The repost is still heavy on the saturation. I'm not seeing much, if any difference between the two posts.

I've never seen one of these in the flesh, ya gotta love the plumage colors here..
Good details & light, well composed Mike.:toast:
Is your monitor being calibrated at regular intervals?
Anyway, I'm leaning more towards a color balance issue. Just my two cents :wavey:

Wonderful plumage in this bird, Mike. Ordinarily, I'd say this was a rather steep angle, but if you needed it for a decent bg, I can understand that. I might play with trying to clone out some of that bright colored debris along the top of the image.
