Trinidad Motmot

This was taken at Cuffie River Lodge in Tobago. This species is limited to Trinidad and Tobago and was split off from Blue-crowned Motmot within the past few years. The motmots would take off from some power lines that were about eye level from the balcony behind the lodge. A power line was removed from this shot.

Nice colorful flight image of a species I have never seen posted here. Love that mot mot tail. Nice PS work on the power line.

What a great species and image, Nate! A higher S/S would have been even better, but from your exif it looks like you were dealing with some pretty dull light - well done!

Nice flight shot of a quick-moving species, Nate. I didn't know about the split; bonus species! I have some nice parrot shots from the swimming pool at Cuffie River...

Nice flight shot, Nate. Convenient to have the perch so handy to your balcony.
