Conventional Hummer

A bit more conventional than the last one for those who like the whole bird (or most of it) in view. By the way, these are either female or juvenile Rufous Hummingbirds (not sure which).

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 2.0TC, Jobu gimbal on RRS legs, f8, 1/640, iso 400, -1/3 stop compensation, pattern metering, aperture priority. Processed in LR5 and CS6. Cropped to 8.5MP of the original 16. Taken July 5th at 4:26 pm under filtered sun.

I'd really be interested in whether people think this or the last one is the more interesting composition.

Thanks for looking,

Hi Dennis,

I personally prefer your previous post as it is a much more creative shot and has an element of surprise to it.
In this one i think the surrounding plants are somewhat distracting and i would have preferred to see the bird free from the flower.

greetings,
