This is very beautiful, Michael! The heron is in exactly the right place in the image. I love the blue monotone color scheme and the fog.

Terrific atmospherics, Michael, with the heron showing sharply and the island disappearing into the mist. The larger version shows lots of grain that can probably be smoothed out without loosing any noticeable resolution during RAW conversion (assuming you're shooting raw).

Really nice photo Michael; you captured the tranquil mood perfectly and all the elements work together well. Couldn't have asked the heron to pick a better spot to contemplate his day .

Thanks to all for the comments. Mark, this is actually an old slide. Maybe some kind of Fuji 400. I used Noise Ninja on the master file and it looked pretty good. I have a couple of web sizing and sharpening actions that I use for NPN. I really didn't look that close after I ran the actions, so the noise was probably introduced then.
