Moulton Sky
by Zack Clothier
This was taken on a recent trip to the Tetons. On this particular evening a big thunderstorm had just passed over the Tetons and was headed off to the Southeast. I had just set up my composition to shoot the sunset from Schwabacher Landing when all of a sudden I noticed Jackson Peak all lit up in a gorgeous glow.
I ditched my composition and quickly made my way back to the vehicle and drove over to the Moulton Barns a few miles away, just in time to catch this amazing light show.
Thanks for looking and for any comments/critiques you may have. Don't forget to check out the LARGER version!
Tech details:
Between the reds and oranges in the sky and the dynamic range being what it was I took a series of 9 bracketed exposures, just to be sure I captured every possible detail.
I ended up hand blending only 7 of the 9 bracketed exposures using TKs luminosity masks, and some of these were double processed.
