When my daughter was young, she always stuck out her tongue when she was totally focused on some task, and this young monkey in Florida brought that to mind as it sat in the trees overhead. Taken from Mike Ramy's boat last spring. (5D3, 400mm f5.6, 1/200, f/8, iso 800)

Your description tells the picture story perfectly, love the pose/expression you've captured here Mark.
Excellent natural framing for this in the wild shot, you sure know how to monkey around
Very well done! :toast:

Not only the expressions, even green setting of the frame is wonderful too ! I may be tempted to burn foreground leaves.

I think this is nicely posed and nicely composed! I would consider pulling back on the green saturation, which to me is a slight distraction.

Hey Mark,
It's amazing to me that during our two encounters on two separate days with the Rhesus Monkeys, the family groups had so many individual monkeys of all ages and spread out over such a large area in the cypress forest at the river's edge that we managed so many totally different images shooting from the same boat. I do not even recollect seeing this lovely scene that you captured so well. This little guy was not even worried about our presence. Sweet detail and pose and what a great setting which I don't remember either. If your daughter was like my kids growing up, I'm sure this is not the first time she has been compared to a monkey.

Mark,

What a wonderful pose, the greens seem a little excessive on my monitor :toast: :toast:

Love the framing and pose, stunning photo Mark. I would tone down the yellow channel as the "yellows in the greens" are a bit too intense in the sense that it draws my eye away from the subject.

I like the pose and comp on this a lot Mark. I do agree with others about toning down the greens and yellows though as it comes across very bright.

A very cool pose and comp here Mark, greens look a touch too intense to me. Strange seeing these monkeys here in the US. :toast:
