Lovely low angle - good exposure and the kinks in the leg and the opened bill are really nice. Would like some color behind the bird

Lovely bird and pose. Would have liked to see the bird a little less centered.

A super photo Sandy.
You've captured a quintessential image of this little wader.
There's great detail thoughout, both black and white plumage is spot on and the pink of the legs is fantastic.
My only slight niggle is that the background in the upper part of the photp is a bit messy and does distract a bit. :toast:

Great pose and excellent detail, Sandy. I love the leg positions and the red eye. You've done an amazing job of listing your locations on these. Did you take really good notes or did you GPS your images?

Dennis, Jim remembers every single place we were for every single picture. Also, we have a calendar with dates and places that we used for planning the trip, and I keep it close by. By looking at the date on the image's EXIF info, we can tell exactly where we were.
I actually intended to keep a detailed journal of all the amazing stuff we saw and did, but we were so exhausted by the time the day ended, i didn't even open the journal, let alone use it.
It took me 3 weeks to feel recovered, after we got home.
