Great Blue Heron

The high ISO is due to the fact that I had been shooting in a dark area on a very overcast day. When this GBH arrived I didn't take the time to adjust my ISO.

Canon 60D, f/7.1, 1/1000 sec., ISO 1000, 170 mm focal length

The noise doesn't look bad at all, Barb, considering the iso. Nice pose on the heron and I really like the glassy water.

The noise isn't bad. Perhaps a touch of noise reduction in the greenery in the upper left. The bird is very good. I might selectively pull down the whites in the head to see if I could recover some detail.

Good one Barb! I like the striding pose you caught this GBH in. Do wish the head was sharper, but know how hard that can be some times. Thanks for sharing.
