Smith River Overlook

I thought I'd break up my redwood themed posts with this shot of the Smith River outside the park. I really liked the curve of the river, as well as the beautiful turquoise color of the water. Taken right after sunset. Compression is killing it somewhat due to the file size limits on here, but what can you do...

What a gorgeous scene, Joe. I love the color of that water. Too bad about the sandy bank surfacing on the left side, kinda throws things off a bit, but not much you can do about that. Gorgeous either way.

On a side note- I find it interesting that the river is so shallow (or at least looks like it from this vantage point). With the way the cliffs drop steeply into the water, I would expect a deeper gorge.

I love to see these images, Joe. Beautiful spot, from a bridge? I spent quite a while with the large view and I really like it. Nice work.
