Ripples it is. What in the world is there not to like about ripples. Ripples rock. Now brain games are another matter.

The light & shadow gives this a nice 3D look David.
I like the substrates texture (what is it BTW?) and form too..
Seems to be a run-off of some sort, with the lighter areas/streaks dried minerals or salts?
Let me know how I did with my guess work:wink:
Great abstract work & entry :toast:

Terrific, David! The shapes really pop and there's a fine eye flow from lower left to upper right.

Hey Guys,,,,,,this reminded me of folds in the brain so the title has a double meaning. These are ripples on a mud flat caused by falling tides. The lighter lines are fine sand deposits that were only found in this one small area.

Thanks for the feedback.

David, when I first saw the thumbnail I thought this was water with submerged rocks. So the abstract effect had me doing a double take here. Which is what I really like about any abstract, it tricks me into seeing or visualizing something it's not. With that all said, it's a great abstract all the way around.
