Just a practice image taken under breezy conditions. The grass stem was bouncing like crazy and this shot was the best of the series. I lost a little sharpness around the head region, but like the pond scum pattern of the background (K5 IIs 300mm f4 DA* (1/500 sec at f/13, ISO 800. LR processing included noise suppression, exposure, PS levels, crop for composition, Topaz Detail for sharpening................Jim

Terrific DF shot, Jim. Love the colors against the aqua blue and white bg. Good detail and an excellent pose showing the head and all wings. Well done. :toast:

I like the wings Jim and the lovely shades in the BG.

Nice work for a 'test' shot.. Sounds like you stayed the course, and passed the test
The pond scum BG almost looks like sky with clouds, and you've managed nice details in spite of the bounce..
Also like the bright but not overly bright look, works well with the BG Jim.
Not crazy about the comp is all. :wavey:

Beautiful detail. I like that the colors in the background match the colors in the dragonfly.
