Thank you for your comments on my recent postings!

This image is from early May along Tenaya Creek in Yosemite Valley. I liked the various textures in the water and the boulders.

Nikon D-7100
18-140 DX Nikkor @ 60mm
F-11 @1/4s, ISO 100
Slight crop from the right
Some processing in ACR

Please see the large version. Thanks.

Another fine stream shot Preston, really, really nice color, comp and processing. Again, beautifully seen and presented.

:toast: OK.....my favorite of the group so far of these most recent water cascades you've posted, Preston. Detail is super throughout the entire scene, rocks, water, cascades.....all spot on.

Pure magic. I like the comp and the energy but it's the detail in the shimmer on the rocks and the water that I find so appealing here. A real sense of presence in the image.

I usually get hypnotized watching water action like this. The texture of the water and rocks along with the motion make this work for me Preston.

Water and rocks done right! The contrast between the detailed texture of the rocks and the smooth flow of the water, the excellent control of H/S, the path for the eye to follow—perfect! :toast:

Really stunning in its simplicity, clarity, and art. Can almost hear the creek!

This is fascinating to me, Preston, because while there's lots of action in the water, the overall colors result in a very gentle feeling.

Really nice, Preston. Makes me want to grab my fly pole and vest. The boulders in the center are glowing just right.

Very nice, Preston. I like that you maintained detail in the water which really gives this a sense of the power in the water. I'm always amazed at the power that is present even in small streams.

Movement of the water is nicely anchored by the rocks. Great composition, very well balanced. I really enjoy looking at this,
