Canon 1D-X, 500mm f4 x 1.4 TC, handheld
f5.6, 1/2500, ISO 2500

An Old World migrant from the Philippines that breeds in Alaska. This bird was on the east end of the Denali Highway, about 20 miles west of Paxson. Another species that sings from the middle of the shrubbery, never from the top.

Cropped to vertical. Selective sharpening and brightening to the bird.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Don't they have any "normal" birds up there? Another cool species, Jim. I don't think that I've ever seen any of the birds from your last dozen or so posts. Nice to see someone out there beating the bushes... :toast: :toast:
