A bird I haven't seen posted here often. In non-breeding plumage, the species has a drab olive-green head and neck; very different. I followed the bird for more than two hours as it ran boundaries establishing its territory, and never once came out into the open.

75% of full frame. Selective sharpening to the bird. It's a busy background but at wider apertures, the tail was out of focus.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

I think I saw this same bird at Magee Marsh a month ago. Never came out in the open. But still you managed a much better shot that I did!!!

Real nice, Jim. I don't recall seeing one here in a long time. About as out in the open as anyone could hope for and the techs look good too. :toast:

After spending the day trying to photograph a pair of warblers yesterday...I'd have to say this very good! The bird is totally in the clear, and nice and sharp. Great find and capture! Sharon

Very nice, sharp shot of this species Jim, the background in this one is fine for me. :toast:
