Took this at the Sugar Grove Nature Centers' prairie area. Many of the seed pods had lost their seeds.

Canon PS SX50
1/250 @ F-8 ISO200
Canon 4.3-215 @ 18.9mm macro setting HH

Really interesting seed pod with great shadows! I love the BG..In fact, I'd be tempted to clone out any pods below the two and surround them in a sea of green BG - adding green to the bottom and adding more canvas at the bottom. :jump:

Very nice photograph of the seeds in place in the pod, John. You could consider cloning out the white area in the ULC.

The details in the seed pods are great, John and you've place it well in the image. Did you try squatting down to see if you could drop that background pod out of the frame?

Beautifully focused image, John, and a great subject. Might just take the brightness down a touch ( I appreciate the light was strong ) but nice as is.
