Smoke on the water...

A week ago I did a private photo workshop (with Bas Breetvelt) in a very special National park in the Netherlands, the Biesbosch. This is a marshy area, only to be reached by boat. We started at 5.30 in the morning and had a great time untill 13.00 o'clock! It was very special to experience the sunrise and see the water vaporizing into mist.

That's a cool saucer of mist where the sun hits the water. Were any aliens seen?

This was worth the trip, for sure, Ellen. I love the mist and the ripples on the water. I do find the bits of sky distracting; especially the piece on ULC. I'd also like to see a bit more detail in the shadows: It's there, and could be pulled up a bit. The mist is excellent.

The large version is a must-see.

This is really cool, Ellen. I agree with Preston about the upper left and pulling the available details from the shadows. Other than that a super image.

Very nice Ellen. I suggest cloning or cropping out upper left top portion of the sky showing thru trees.
The eye travels to the bright area and is then a distraction rather than a element. .
