Running Giraffe

Really loping might be more appropriate, I have always found Giraffe to be a difficult subject as you just cannot really capture their grace and beauty in a still shot. Hopefully this is not to bad?

Taken in Nxai Pan, Botswana, tons of Giraffe there, thankfully the Lions have not taken to eating them.

I like the raised tail here Ken, nice capture. I think if the legs were spread out more in a different position it would show the running better if that was your goal. :toast:

I agree that giraffes can be difficult to photograph. Getting them all in an image means that you are pretty far away and lose some of the intimacy. Nice capture.

Nate,
This was the nearest I could get to having all 4 feet off of the ground, and also in other images the tail was not as visible because of the background bushes

Jerry.
