I like the subject framed with leaves each side & bottom Ian.
Detail looks great too. The colors are bit flat, my only nit.
Overall a nice look at the 'late magnolia' bud

Ian - Good one. I like the dark colored petals emerging from the lighter colored sepals (?). I also like the leaves used for framing. Nice frame

Beautiful Ian. The framing and texture give this a very painterly feel. Love the detail in the leaves, the simple colors and dark background. This must be quite a sight when it blooms. Very nice!
