A nice pose for the Blue Jay. Details looks quite nice. My first reaction is that the saturation has been boosted too much on the bird and the background. I'd back off considerably.

Great pose and details, along with a nice head turn. I agree with Keith regarding the saturation. Gorgeous light! Sharon

You really make a common Blue Jay look great.

I agree with Keith that the saturation is a little too much, but overall this is a fine Blue Jay photo. The blacks also seem to be very dark. You could bring up the blacks and maybe the overall exposure a bit. The large version shows that the shot is sharp. Well done.

My monitor has been calibrated to my printer and camera, I see detail in the blacks and shadows on my monitor. So I'm not sure if this is a jpeg processing problem, the way its being displayed or perhaps your monitor! I checked again and the highlights or shadows are not being clipped.

Richard,
Agree with the other comments. Could you crop with more space to the left of the bird. Keep posting. We like your work.
