I guess I had better get back to B/W. There is something about this shot that keeps me coming back to it. One of the only mini drainages that had few flowers on my last trip to the Factory.

I would love to hear what you guys think.

Very surreal Gary. I like the comp, the tonality and the great textural contrasts. I might consider darkening the mountain a bit but would need to see it to know for sure. I like the image and the presentation very much.

Beautiful B&W, Gary. I'd darken the sky a touch. I love the drama in this image! Stunning!

nice, crisp b&w with strong FG. the only thing that bothers me (and there's a simple fix to it) is the blending around the peak - bit dark about the edges but nothing a little more work couldn't fix. I might have the peak a little darker overall as well. nice eye for this and touch those things up and I reckon it'll be sweet!

Wow, this is excellent, Gary!! I might add some contrast in the sky, but this one is a winner. Love it.

The mini drainage is intriguing Gary! I can understand why you keep coming back to it. My only nit is the bit of filter which enters the ulc, but maybe I'm wrong and it is part of the clouds?

I like this wider lens look better than the others, but I enjoyed the color images a bit more.
Very cool drainage.....

Very cool Gary. It is a wonderfully otherworldly image and the drainage lines look like tha shadow of a dead tree. Great textures.

Awesome shot Gary, you had a real productive outing. My first impression was that it looked like the impression from a giant fallen tree. I like everything about it, the textures in the foreground and on the butte, great clouds and really nice tones in the B&W conversion. I especially like the perspective effect where the foreground looks so vast compared to what I know if a very large butte. Really well done Gary! :toast:

I like this a lot Gary. Nice composition and lead-in and I think B&W was a great choice.

This one is perfect for the B&W treatment, Gary. I think that applied to the processing gives a dramatic look at all the crevices both large and small throughout the scene. Seems to be a good application in the end for the Factory too. Very nice work......

Love the long leading line of the drainage and all of the cracks in the ground as they head back to that neat butte, Gary. The sky works well also, but adding some contrast there does seem likely to help.

Some great suggestions above to play with, but that will just make a fantastic image even better! Great composition!

Wonderful B&W with some good contrast and clouds to round out the image. I like the leading line to bring you into the image. Excellent shot.
