Hitting the Brakes

D800 600mm F8 1/2000 sec ISO 400 Tripod

About a 50% crop. This guy had just passed over a heron snagging a fish just as he flew over. It really looked like he was stepping on the brakes.

Very nice flight capture. The intensity of the eagle's stare makes the shot.

Bob, nice composition and pose. I like the layered background and the whites look fine to me. Dave

Really nice wing position on this one Bob. Love the head turn, the placement in the frame, etc. Very nicely done. My only tiny little suggestion might be to selectively dodge the eagle to make the detail in the wings pop a bit more. I just think it would add more impact to an already excellent shot.
